Pros

The perks of the office are similar to those of tech companies with catered breakfast/lunch and events throughout the year.

Cons

CEO pressures employees in company wide meetings on how to vote, huge management issues across departments who don't listen to issues and promote loyal employees over good employees, can be an uncomfortable work environment for women.

DRW Response

Thank you for your feedback. Given my role at DRW, I thought it might be helpful if I responded here. In preparing for meetings, Don has always stressed to me that other than encouraging employees to go and vote, he had no interest in sharing his own political views. I’d welcome hearing more about what was said that made you feel you were being pressured to vote a certain way so we can avoid that going forward. I also encourage you to reach out to HR to talk about any instances in which you’ve felt high-performers haven’t been promoted. While we do very much value employees that have been at DRW for a long time (and we do have a lot of them!), we are very much a meritocracy. I am most concerned about your comment that at some point you felt uncomfortable as a woman at DRW. It's very important to our leadership team that we create an environment where all of our employees feel valued and comfortable, so I strongly encourage you to go talk to your manager, HR or one of DRW's partners so that we can swiftly address this issue.

Pros

DRW values my input and ideas, and allows me to explore new ways of conducting surveillance. The firm is not afraid to try things that may not work out in the end.

Cons

You have to have the confidence to push forward. People will help and guide you, but you must initiate the activity.
