This company is no doubt racist and discriminatory. They reject all non-white applicants regardless of their qualifications. As a white person, I was hired with no secondary education or any sort of teaching certificate (the only qualification I have is that I’m a native English speaker). Here’s the issue: I applied during the same period as my Asian friend (who is a native English speaker) but her application was rejected and she wasn’t offered an interview. She has a Bachelor’s Degree and a TEFL certificate plus 3 years of experience teaching children. They replied saying that although her qualifications were impressive, they had too many other applicants with superior qualifications. That was an outright lie as someone like myself with no qualifications whatsoever was contacted and hired. I bet that even if they start interviewing non-whites, it’ll just be for show and they won’t actually be hired. Or perhaps they’ll start to hire a handful of them just to prove they aren’t racist but know that the hiring process is 100% inequal and you do not have equal opportunity if you’re of other races. We emailed the company to confront them about this blatant racism and they have yet to respond so I decided to post this review. Please if you are a white teacher working for this company, show them that you won’t stanf for this! I know the income is good but we can’t simply contribute to this racism just because there is more demand for white teachers in the market. We are teaching children and many will be tomorrow’s leaders for godsakes. How could we promote these archaic and wrongful perceptions for monetary reasons?
