The more you stick around and the more you find out the more disgusted you end up feeling with how unprofessional they are! Terrible management with what seems like no common sense and experience whatsoever! The owner is as greedy as it gets, taking the money the employees hardly work for doing everything outside of their work duties plus their regular responsibilities. Minimum wage goes up? Tronc goes down accordingly without a word from management or the owner. Over worked employees doing crazy hours for little money and appreciation over summer and then the same employees begging for hours during quiet winter periods. You can go from 50+ hours to 30 hours in one week if they need to save money. Being understaffed though is a constant that never changes. Want a holiday or a day off? 2 weeks notice! They need to change your schedule from today for tomorrow - it’s done with no heads up. They can’t pay their suppliers sometimes so employees end up dealing with it experiencing backlash from customers for something that they have no control over. If you’re on salary you always work overtime which is not paid. I can keep going on and on but I think my point gets across. Just avoid at all costs and don’t get sucked into the world of make believe they first present to you. None of it is true.
