Pros
Intellectually engaging work. Solid experience if interested in working across development sectors. Challenging work. Very smart colleagues. Ability to travel and execute interesting projects around the world. The Dalberg offices in Africa do impressive work that has impact.
Cons
The quality of management and leadership varies by region/office, as does salary (taking into account cost of living). Despite recently improving and increasing global trainings, the European and US offices generally have more seasoned managers and tend to train their staff better and more consistently. Other offices - such as the Indian office - under-pays its entry-level staff (factoring in cost of living and comparing it to other Dalberg offices) and does not appear to invest or care as much in training its junior-level talent.
