Cut the bloated execs and actually listen to new ideas - Anonymous employee Dallas Market Center Employee Review

Pros

Some of the people are extremely nice and friendly, there is a strong sense of camaraderie between the lower level staff because they bond over how poorly run everything is. Free food sometimes, you get to leave early for holidays. There is a good work and life balance. The cafeteria is pretty good and you get a discount.

Cons

Upper management is extremely behind the times, they are outdated in every way. They'll tell you that they hire young minds to bring fresh new ideas, and to contribute to the company's growth--but the truth is that they'll hire young people because it's cheaper. And when new ideas crop up, it's met with a "Oh, that's not how we do things here.." or "Yes.. but... *insert lame excuse to not do something logical*" They overwork their employees with ridiculous deadlines that are "hot" and then when finished, it never even gets looked over. There is no leadership in the marketing department at all. Meetings are a waste of time, nothing ever gets resolved and it's simply just a check up to see if you're doing your work. Management often times disappears for hours at a time during the day, doesn't answer emails and will avoid the rest of the department. So many things wrong with this place, I agree with all the other reviews. There's always a sense of fear and paranoia because you could be the next one they axe for doing something they don't like. Gossip is rampant. Change is always promised but never given. Would. Not. Recommend.

Pros

Worked there temporarily, and I enjoyed my time working in the showroom and meeting other vendors and customers. Loved walking around during my lunch breaks or after work hours to explore the other floors.

Cons

Not only because I lived far away, but the traffic and parking aren't great. You don't want to park after 9-10 AM when it's market time.
