Pros

Friendly HR and colleagues while the head of preschool was not around.

Cons

It was an extremely toxic environment with a bullying head of preschool who used their power to push down the staff. Everyone was tiptoeing around and afraid to do anything to displease the boss.

Pros

The class teachers (this does not in anyway include those who are in management roles)

Cons

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! This school is where teacher's ambitions come to die. - Managementand clueless Directors - absolutely under qualified and lazy. Be careful of vocabulary such as 'we like teachers who like a challenge". Thier definition of a challenge is providing no support, and exploiting you for every ounce youre worth. They are the worst thing about the school and a huge reason they have lost so many teachers through this academic year alone. If only management were told to take up to date best practise CPD and save teachers from draconian outdated teaching practises that are harmful to the kids and teachers. - Don't be fooled by their "attractive residential area ". This is corporate for 'in the middle of no where '. Be sure to add a 25min walk to your commute if you dont have your own personal transport because there is nothing for a solid mile radius around the school. No metro, no bus, no supermarkets. - Work life balance? Support? Maintaining your love of teaching? Forget about it.

Pros

Students are kind Free lunch (normal for schools)

Cons

Poor management Little to no resources miserable staff Money is lower in comparison to other British schools in the area High turnover Will try not to pay teachers at end of contract If you don’t work at the summer school salaries are deducted (competitor schools pay you extra to work) Doesn’t take bullying seriously
