Cons
Darigold has just unveiled their new bonus program. They are touting that it is based on benchmarks and aligns to market. This is a laughable. They are reducing bonus' (expect for management) and most employees are capped at ~$1,000. What benchmarks are they using that aligns this structure with the Seattle companies that they compete with for talent? HR and executive management have lost touch with employees and with how employees are rewarded. They say they are using outside consultants who are validating our compensation alignment yet they are not transparent with the benchmarks. In fact, HR is trying to spin the truth. Next we will hear from them that merit increases will be minimal as these same consultants and HR professionals are providing the input. They set us up with the new performance ratings and now are finding ways to reduce compensation after one of our more successful years. At the end of the day Darigold is going to be left with only the employees who can't find a job someplace else.
