They have transitioned from a family oriented operation to a full on corporate environment where upper management is largely isolated from day to day operations, resulting in Darlings losing a lot of the culture that originally set them apart from everybody else. Departement managers are typically just mouthpieces for the corporate office, Advancement seems to be limited to those in the "click".
