Pros

The people are probably the best thing about working for Datashield. The cyber teams have grown a lot. They are knowledgeable in their fields and work hard to achieve their duties. We all work well together and collaborate on improving current operations for the jobs at hand. It is exciting to see the new tools being developed in-house and what they will accomplish. These developments have already improved the quality of work for both the dev side as well as the analyst side. Management has evolved since I've signed on as well. In many great ways. The company proves itself by listening to previous and current concerns from staff. They're responsive to needs and desires for all and it is always good to know that they are on your side. I have always appreciated their hard work to ensure that my needs as an employee are heard. The foosball table is a major plus as well. I'd like to think that while the company has improved my cyber analysis skills, they've also sharpened my foosball skills. Maybe one day I'll be the best.

Cons

This company is smaller than I've been accustomed to, so I understand that they are always growing and only time will show their improvements. The only complaint I really have is that while the benefits are continuing to get better, I am ready for them to become superior.

Pros

Datashield is a small company with some big talent. I was with the company for little less than one year, but in that time I learned a great deal. That was largely due to the knowledge of my co-workers and the fact that it was a small company, so you had to learn to do more with less. Don't take the "less" comment as any kind of disparaging remark. As I said, they are a small (start-up) company and their infrastructure is still maturing. There is a great deal of passion for the company and for security as a whole at DataShield and it is my belief that this is what drives them and will make them succeed. Pros: - Core group of very talented professionals. - People in management positions that have worked in and understand IT/Security. - Openness of upper management to meet with any level of staff. - Since it is a start-up, you can have the capacity to affect change, if you are willing to step up and take it. - Free snacks and coffee.

Cons

- The infrastructure still needs to mature. - Work load can be overwhelming at times (but mostly only for those that care). - Very long commute depending upon where you are in the valley.
