Pros

I straight up love working at Dataminr. The people here are kind, intelligent and hard working. I'm constantly working on interesting projects that expand my skills and experiences. My manager is an excellent coach and always puts her team first, as do so many of the managers here. The leadership is collaborative and approachable. The company cares so much about it's people -- from comfortable salaries, $2500/year to pursue professional development, to career coaching, to free health insurance, to free lunch every day, learning events, charity initiatives and social events, you can't help but feel wonderful about working hard for the organization. And we do incredible work - our product is one of a kind and changing the game for a lot of businesses.

Cons

The CEO is barely visible -- we only see him once per quarter when he speaks at the town hall. Thankfully all of our other executives are very hands on and you can interact with them every day. They really set the culture since our CEO is often absent.

Pros

* Differentiated technology platform with real-time intelligence capabilities, particularly in the physical security and threat detection space

Cons

* Frequent leadership changes have made it difficult to maintain consistent strategic direction * Company initiatives often reset before prior efforts fully mature, creating execution gaps * Senior leadership structure can feel top-heavy, which at times slows decision-making and accountability * Market positioning in cybersecurity may not be as strong or clearly differentiated as competitors * Organizational changes have led to disruption and uncertainty for employees during transition periods * In some cases, expectations during the hiring process did not fully align with the day-to-day reality of the role * Strategic messaging is strong, but execution and follow-through can lag behind stated priorities
