Pros

This is my first job working at a start-up, and I am very happy I chose Dataminr. The company is very ambitious - creating new products that weren't possible a few years ago and pushing into big, complicated and demanding markets. Teams are routinely faced with interesting challenges as the company moves forward - which makes for a lively and creative work environment. The CEO and management team are good at conveying the broader mission and vision of the company - which helps keep everyone focused on the big picture. The company goes out of its way to offer great benefits to employees - from culture perks like lunches, snacks fun team sports to fully covered health insurance, and personal development support.

Cons

The company has some start-up growing pains, with some processes and functions still a work in progress, but for the most part the company is aware of them.

Pros

* Differentiated technology platform with real-time intelligence capabilities, particularly in the physical security and threat detection space

Cons

* Frequent leadership changes have made it difficult to maintain consistent strategic direction * Company initiatives often reset before prior efforts fully mature, creating execution gaps * Senior leadership structure can feel top-heavy, which at times slows decision-making and accountability * Market positioning in cybersecurity may not be as strong or clearly differentiated as competitors * Organizational changes have led to disruption and uncertainty for employees during transition periods * In some cases, expectations during the hiring process did not fully align with the day-to-day reality of the role * Strategic messaging is strong, but execution and follow-through can lag behind stated priorities
