Pros
– Fair rates.
– PMs are kind, communicative, polite, and helpful.
– They don’t use real-time communication tools (like Slack or Discord) and only communicate via their own platform and email, which I think is great for setting boundaries.
– Very generous deadlines, which I really appreciate.
– Never had any issues with payments.
Cons
– A lot of processes to learn at the start—link after link after link—which can feel overwhelming, but it’s no longer an issue once you get used to everything.
– Translations are done on Trados Enterprise, which isn’t a very intuitive tool and has quite a few issues. I really wish they would migrate to Phrase. That said, it’s still an upgrade from TMS, which was previously used. That tool was a nightmare.
– Responses from PMs can be a little delayed if there’s a big time zone difference.
