Pros

Many dresses at lower than normal prices, many sizes kept in stock, mostly friendly staff

Cons

I do not like having AT LEAST two brides at a time-this is unethical and unfair to both the brides and employees. We are spread beyond thin, and our customer service reflects that. It's difficult to keep track of one bride's wants and needs, let alone FOUR at a time. I also don't like not being able to order dresses if one is in stock, even if it's gross and near destroyed they make the customer take that one. I had a bride one day purchasing a Vera, and there was a very clear hole in it. I was told by management that she had to take that one, and not to order. It doesn't matter the amount of money you spend on your gown, it's still your WEDDING DRESS and you deserve something of better quality. On top of all that, there is extreme pressure from management to sell things the bride and her party don't necessarily want or need. If you don't meet your goals in all categories (bridal conversion, bridesmaids, headpieces, etc) you get called out and it WILL hold back your advancement with the company. You can make them a ton of money, but if you didn't sell enough bras or whatever, you won't hear the end of it. From my understanding, the pay is extremely low for this type of work. The base pay is slightly (.25) over minimum wage. You only make commission once you hit a certain dollar/hour, so you have to make at least $15,000 a pay period to make any income at all. The kicker is, if you don't hit commission, you get written up. I would not recommend working here. If you have a passion for brides/bridal fashion/weddings. there are many other places to work. You can have a career in retail here, or a real career in bridal somewhere else.
