Pros

It is truly heartwarming to help the brides choose their gown. It's a thrilling and sentimental purchase for them and it's a beautiful thing. The alterations department was truly fantastic and full of talented hardworking tailors.

Cons

The retail sales job is pitched as a commissioned sales position, but it is rigged. The last-minute scheduling practice allows management to manipulate the commission structure to ultimately short change their employees: Salespeople had to average a certain dollar amount per hour during the pay period to make commission. So a salesperson on track to make commission would get called in on a slow day to bring their hourly sales average down, allowing the company to weasel out of paying that employee any commission. Sniping went totally unreprimanded, creating a culture of ill-will and distrust among coworkers. The bridal gowns were nice but the bridesmaid dresses were poor quality and suffered many broken zippers, tears, etc. Not much was invested in visual merchandising of the store - the jewelry seemed cheap, flimsy, random mismatched stock, etc. The computer systems were from probably 1980 and very complicated to learn.

Pros

Fun place to work and nice to be apart of something bigger.

Cons

Total revolving door for employees, managers and everything else. No commission and store is worn down along with systems.
