DCS has a long-standing presence in the DC market. The result is opportunities to work on great sites around the DMV. The founding partners are actively involved after 55+ years. This leads to a family-like atmosphere.

The ability to make changes or influence firm policies can be limited. The downside of the family-style approach is that staff members can become entrenched in their roles. The perception of being a local firm also limits the opportunities on larger, more ambitious design projects.
