Pros

I've been in the industry for 9 years and have worked for several different property management companies across multiple states. Davis, BY FAR, has blown every other company out of the water. From the start they treat you like family. New hires are introduced to the entire company via email. Birthdays and work anniversaries are celebrated as well. Leadership believes in celebrating professional AND personal successes. They also promote growth in all aspects. In terms of actual work - Davis is Builder/Owner/Manager which is wonderful because there is less bureaucratic red tape to cut through. If the onsite team feels as though there's a tool that would be beneficial and they can explain the reasoning, those tools are given to them almost immediately. Upper management asks for and values suggestions in all aspects of the job. There is a lot less arbitrary reporting required so that the team can truly focus on leasing and providing the best customer service possible. Administratively, Davis keeps it much more simple than most of the companies I have worked for in the past. Davis is CONSTANTLY developing throughout the country and opportunities for growth are readily available. Many of the employees throughout the company have been with the company for several years and have travelled with the company throughout several markets. Lee Little, the Director of Property Management (for lack of a better title), is friendly, personable, and humble. When onsite, he takes the time to get to know the entire tam - not just the manager. He explains company standards and explains the "Why" behind a lot of things. Honestly, I could keep going for quite some time. If you have the opportunity to join the Davis Team you won't regret it.

Cons

Davis is Build/Fill/Sell. Employment with them could be brief if they do not have a lot in your market or if you choose to stay with a property vs. the company. If you have the flexibility to move with the company, however, this is not a true con.

It is such a wonderful pleasure to read the rather lengthy praise you have posted. How exciting to see in print the very things we value about our culture! Our employees are our family! We spend more time at work than at home most weeks. Having a team that cares about one another and depends on each other like a family is what we consider to be the best way to run our business. We do want our Managers on the floor with the team, double closing, greeting the prospective new residents, and in general making the work place fun! Why shouldn’t we have fun at work? We do not have to have heavy reporting coming from the communities; we can do that on the backside. We want our front line teams to be there for the residents and helping them to love their new homes! We do regret that sometimes we have to say goodbye to really great superstars, however, when we can take our superstars with us to the next brand new luxury community or homes, we do and we are excited to do so! I have truly enjoyed my experience working for Davis Development. The company culture is one of the biggest reasons I am proud to be part of the team. Employees are treated with respect, appreciation, and genuine care. It's refreshing to work for a company where you don't feel like just another number, but rather a valued member of the organization whose contributions are recognized. They care about your family too, my kids love they have received birthday cards. The people throughout the company are supportive, collaborative, and invested in each other's success. Upper management is approachable, understanding, and always willing to listen to concerns, discuss ideas, and work through challenges together. Their open-door approach creates an environment where employees feel heard and empowered to make a difference. Davis Development also takes pride in delivering a quality product while maintaining a strong focus on its people. The company understands that happy, supported employees are key to long-term success, and that commitment is evident in the way team members are treated every day. Overall, Davis Development is a company that values its employees, fosters a positive culture, and provides opportunities for growth and meaningful contributions. I am grateful to work for an organization that genuinely cares about its people.

Cons

Only true con is the insurance change but everyone has been so helpful to navigate the issues. Other than that maybe just some more training in the beginning stages.

Pros

Working for Davis Family has been an incredible experience. It truly is a great company to work for—they treat their employees like family, creating a positive and supportive environment every day. Everything about the company reflects care, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork. I especially want to thank Lee and Jen for being such great leaders. Their support, guidance, and dedication to employees do not go unnoticed. They always take the time to listen, encourage growth, and make everyone feel valued. I also want to thank them for giving me the opportunity to be part of this great company.
