Pros
Small office, Most co-workers friendly
Cons
Where to start...Unethical, Do not hold up their end of offer letter when brought on board, Old School ways, definitely need to come into the 21st century more. Business practices in my opinion are unethical. Was never provided an employee handbook. When I resigned I gave my two weeks appropriately. Had a week vacation ALREADY approved, was brought into HR the following day and advised more or less "F-you" we don't allow employees to use vacation during the last two weeks of work. When I know for a fact that other people who gave their notices previously a few months back were able to use their minimal vacation they had as half days during their last two weeks. I asked for a copy or for something in writing where it was advised that they (Davlyn) does not pay out vacation that an employee has earned whether it be quitting, terminating or resigning. If they don't work the full two weeks. As well as stating that the person quitting isn't allowed to use vacation as part of their two weeks notice EVEN though it was previously approved. Can't really live off of the salary's they provide. People are leaving in droves. I have never in my life seen so many people leave in such a short period of time of 1 year. The building is old and needs serious work. More or less it's an old run down factory. I would have never taken my job that I had, if I had know the true policies and procedures the company runs off of. On a side note make sure you can bake, because that is ALL you will hear about is how so and so (not me) would make fresh baked goods and bring them in still warm in the morning. Really this isn't any pros to working here except a close location as well as the wildlife you will see out in the front.
