Pros
Some great co-workers that are willing to help each other out. Last drop and home. Some great customers. Really enjoyed the paid for Christmas parties. It gave me a chance to get to know the other members of staff. The week between Christmas and New Year was a great break (closed). No weekend work!
Cons
No overtime pay. When I first joined I was told that some days will be long, but other days will make up for that time. Three years later the hours started to increase and was doing on average 4-8 hours extra a week and not believed by management who then often threatened us that they would install trackers to the vehicles. This would have been a good move as it would prove how much extra the drivers were doing, but it would have slowed us down as I found myself speeding a lot to try to stick within my paid time. But this also demonstrated a major trust issue. A lot of heavy lifting - wasn't a problem for me until they started to do incredibly heavy ceramic shower trays and sometimes you had to wait for a while until you received help. Criticised A LOT from management (no room for human error!) Was asked once to give my advice about a matter. I had spent two evenings writing up many ideas and ways forward for the company. I was thanked, but felt I was ignored as there was no feedback and nothing was taken into account! (Note about Rating stars: I was torn with "Compensation & Benefits". There was NO compensation for the extra hours put in and very very rarely a thanks. But as a benefit I was able to take a van too and from home and the Christmas week off was a nice rest. So I would give compensation a 1 star and benefits a 3.5 (even though Glassdoor doesn't do a half!), so averaging 3 stars overall)
