Pros
Somewhat competitive salary for medical devices in CH. Several good activities throughout the year, such as the Move for Charity run where money is raised for Operation Smile and Volunteer Week to support the local community.
Cons
Very complex system with far too many trainings required, to the point people don't understand what they need to know and what they have been trained on. The open floor plan office with coffee areas right in the middle of the office allows for too much noise and too many distractions. Senior Management and Executives seem to focus on the strong personality type in terms of career progression into management with far less consideration of whether someone has the soft skills and emotional intelligence to be a people manager. Several waves of layoffs in the last years due to major organization changes in Switzerland (e.g. selling off Swiss production plants to Jabil, moving production of Mitek to cheaper countries, etc.). Complete lack of transparency with salary bands for pay grades.
