Pros

Great teams of people to work with Permanent WFH for the most part Decent work experience (if you can make it)

Cons

Wow, where to even start. If you have any sense, ambition, desire to do good work, anything at all, stay far away from this place. They brand themselves as being “innovative” and yet their own proprietary systems have been broken for nearly a year. Clients regularly cancel their contracts because the tools are so unreliable. All priority is given to the sales and dev teams, who are treated like gods. Directors had to BEG upper management just to get them to pay attention to the abysmal state of their supposedly “groundbreaking” technology. Instead of actually paying employees what they deserve to be paid, they look for any excuse *not* to give you a bonus or a raise (that you rightfully earned). Instead, they’ll offer all kinds of fun “extras,” like parties and games and social events, and pre-Covid there were things like kitchen snacks, coffee, etc. Sure, you’ll find ping-pong tables and video games in the no-longer existent break rooms. You’ll hear them talk about their “culture.” And sure, they’re accepting of different lifestyles and aren’t concerned about appearance. If those things are important to you, you’ll probably like it here. They’ve even added a few additional perks to make up for the lack of “in-office perks,” because they know that’s the only way they can keep people. But you should expect to be paid 10-25% below the going market rate for any position you take. There aren’t enough zoom baking parties and digital scavenger hunts in the known universe to make up for the morally degrading work you’ll do every day. I can’t remember the last time I came to hate a job as much as I did this one. If you’re client-facing, I wish you the best. You can expect to suck up to angry auto dealers every day for things that aren’t your fault. Expect to be yelled at by dealers who get poor results despite your best efforts. Expect to *constantly* apologize for things that are far beyond your control, like account updates (done by other teams) not being made in a timely manner, or reporting tools being broken for MONTHS on end, or systems just not working correctly, or never having the right tools to do even the most basic tasks you’re asked to do. For my first 6 months here, I didn’t even know a budget tool existed, so I was calculating all my accounts manually. Something that should take 45 minutes was taking me HOURS because of the sheer lack of coordination, training, development, or care about giving employees what they need to just do the bare minimum, let alone succeed. There are so many other things I could say, but if you’re seriously considering a position with this company, the last thing I’ll leave you with is this. Several months ago during an all-staff meeting, I heard one of the most offensive statements from the mouth of an executive (Michael Devito) I’ve ever heard in my professional life: “It wouldn’t matter if we added an extra $5-10k to your pocket, your workload would be the same. That extra money wouldn’t do anything for you. We’re adding more people instead of giving you more money so you don’t have as much on your plate.” It must be nice to be at the top, where an extra $5-10k doesn’t make or break your existence. For literally *everyone else* that’s at the bottom of your food chain, that extra money would make a HUGE difference. Want to know how I know that? Because almost everyone who walks out the door ends up finding another employer who’s willing to pay them that extra $5-15k per year. Myself included. That should tell you everything you need to know about considering a job with this company. They value their employees so little that they would rather underpay them, load them up far beyond reasonable capacity, and bring in college-fresh new hires and severely under pay them too, instead of paying to retain their top talent to help their business actually grow. The brain drain at DealerOn is unfathomable. It’s the most abominably stupid business strategy I’ve ever seen. I can’t even begin to count the number of highly-talented, driven individuals I’ve watched walk out their doors to find much better jobs elsewhere. Tldr: If you want to be valued as an individual and employee and actually be paid what you’re worth, do not ever in your wildest dreams consider an offer of employment from this company. You will most likely regret every moment of your day working here and almost immediately begin looking for something else. No one lasts more than a year, maybe 2. And I know you’re probably thinking “that’s just someone who just got burned on the way out.” Nope. I had great relationships with virtually everyone I’ve directly worked with and am forever grateful for those connections. I have many friends I’m sad to leave behind. But never would I ever recommend even my worst enemy to work here.

Pros

A lot of helpful coworkers and managers, they will make sure you are always supported withing the Data Support structure, They are friendly and cooperative, leadership is understanding of your humanity, supportive of growth.

Cons

Upper management needs to be replaced entirely, we get a few backhanded comments about what is essentially a right for us, dismissed concerns, and favoritism. Upper management only cares about selling products, but does not care about what the employees have to put up with in upkeeping those products, and the reaction of the clients, they will "prioritize" client happiness with a lot of metrics, but never address the core issue, they focus on overworking the employees to patch and band-aid the issue with no real progress behind it.
