Pros
Nice building and facility, plenty of parking, nice weather, good cafeteria, generally very nice people. Work is generally interesting.
Cons
There are two levels of leadership here, the Government and the Contract Agency, so you will have two bosses as the Government hasn't hired anyone new in years. Some of the Government people are dedicated and competent, but a whole lot of them are career do-nothings who work a 5 or 6 hour day. Watch around 3 pm. as they start edging out the door (claiming they "got there at 7 am." Yes, they did, and also took 4 breaks totaling 90 minutes and an hour for lunch.) Virtually every person there after 5 pm. is a contractor, and they have deadlines set to sometimes impossible timelines by their Government bosses. The Government people are oblivious as they are set for life, and don't even have to show up or ever deliver to get paid, they just want what they want. Contractors are definitely third class citizens. Also the number of contract agencies has tripled in the last couple of years, and all they care about is keeping their revenue stream, not getting the work done. Overall the environment is fairly toxic, unless you're a Government employee in which case it's a dream job with no accountability.
