Pros

Nice colleagues, satisfactory partnership with health providers and self-learning SaaS, good unlimited PTO package, great values

Cons

Micromanagement and no trasparency on a revenue-based level, high staff turnover, huge layoffs round, unlimited PTO package (on paper), unsatisfactory salary, bad both pension scheme and health insurance (if you are located in the EMEA region), great values (on paper). The company poures talents and lost its purpose and track after acquiring the status of Tech-unicorn. Internally they're promoting values of diversity, inclusion, compassion and commitment, but only on paper. Harsh HR management, most of the time disorganized. They didn't support its own employees, and since the HQ are in US and they change frequently, most of the time, expecially for employees based in EMEA region, there aren't reference figures or branch units decentralized to refer at. Not to mention the E-leadership, only sales driven and investor oriented. There was a huge lack of transparency in terms of revenue grow and plan for the future (company strategies), the product itself is functionally full of bug, and it lacks of maintenance. Poor performance alignment processes, bad management (not enough trained to guide a team of people, and professionally unqualified to relase feedback), bad internal career mobilty plans (for a company that promotes workforce upskilling). Poor work-life balance (if you work from the EMEA region, due to different timezones, company meetings overlap from 4 pm onwards and sometimes you find yourself working until 7pm). An advice: if you are looking for an inspiring, fast-paced, with an advanced infrastructure, technologically amusing and culturally varied workplace, well, this is not the place for you. If you are located in the EMEA, they're are organizations (perhaps smaller ones) that can offer you better in terms of visibility and career growth.

Thank you for your feedback and observations. We agree with you and enforce the statement that we have great, talented people who are at the center of our success. Now under our new leadership, we are actively working with our senior members and the People Team to co-create a plan that moving forward will motivate business results while also encouraging upskilling and career development. The goal here is to continue to innovate and implement plans that promote individual accountability and personal career growth. Thank you also for pointing out the challenge of working in a global environment and the flexibility that it requires around live events. Our leadership team is very aware and have implemented changes in their schedules to accommodate multiple meetings that accommodate our global time zone needs. We’re optimistic that this new practice will strengthen our connectivity with our global colleagues.

Pros

Degreed truly walks the talk when it comes to learning and development. The culture is inclusive, flexible, and remote-friendly. Leadership is transparent, and the education stipend and unlimited PTO are amazing perks. I feel trusted and valued.

Cons

Things can move fast and priorities shift quickly. Some leadership changes created a bit of uncertainty, but overall the communication and team support make a big difference.

Pros

Peer group is dedicated to success, open to collaboration, willing to team up on solutioning. Same can be said for partnering with other lines of business. I've never been shut down on asks.

Cons

The same with likely any software company... you want new features, your customers want new features and fixes, and you don't want to wait for them!
