Pros

Kind supervisors and very relaxed job environment

Cons

Minimal preference over placement if new, also found the job title to be misleading. It is traffic control, not being an “ambassador”

Pros

There are lots of events happening at the Fairgrounds year-round. And it is quite interesting to work them. From setting up weddings to the County Fair to various Trade Shows. The coworkers tend to be pretty cool and fun. Immediate supervisors and managers tend to be reasonable and stand behind their subordinates. Even when the clients are being very loud and angry.

Cons

Administration regularly makes calls that are questionable from the ground level. That can cause some issues that need to be dealt with on a regular basis. A LOT of those questionable decisions are caused by the desire/necessity to spend as little money as possible. That just means that there is little desire to solve the problems made by those questionable decisions. There is some dissension between the different shifts. That can result in tools and supplies being hidden away for specific shifts/people. This means that, sometimes, those random little caches are lost (losing those tools and supplies, requiring them to be replaced) and later found again (but everything is now obsolete, already replaced, or expired).
