Pros
1. Large selection of clients from Various Industries: Ideal for those in the early stages of their careers . Great exposure to experience and responsibility early on. 2. Good Training opportunities both internal and externally accredited courses available for up skilling and is always highly recommended. 3. Provision of IT devices. Allows one to keep work and social life separate. No need to use personal devices for work.
Cons
1. Consulting CEO (Joe) tone deaf to the needs of those who he leads (opposite to a servant leader). Took a very callous approach to the redundancy’s earlier this year. His nonchalant attitude to meetings is a mood dampener. And keen to express political views in the place of work (very concerning!!) 2. Expectation of Free Labour: Vast Majority of consultants are deployed 100% on client site and billing 100% to the client. However, there is an expectation on consultants to carve time out of their personal time or whilst on client site to contribute to ‘Firm’ initiatives ( No extra pay, still charges clients 100%- Not a morally sound thing to do) 3. Pay Below Market Rate- Generally speaking the pay tends to fall below market rate.
