Deluxe Design Response
2yThank you for taking the time to review our company. I’m sorry that you felt you were not being heard. It is always our intention to make sure everyone feels valued and appreciated.
You are correct, we do have mandatory overtime, when necessary, of 5-6 hours a week. We try to keep that to a minimum and voluntary as much as possible. The comment about write ups is not accurate. We care about our staff and rarely write people up. Yes, we buy lunch now and then. This is to celebrate our staff, not in lieu of wages. Everyone who works at Deluxe is important to our company and we want them to feel appreciated, which is why we do it.
Unfortunately, we do not have health insurance because it is more expensive for our employees to get it through our small company than on their own. This is why we have a health reimbursement account that can be used to pay vision, dental, prescriptions, copays, or health insurance premiums. We feel this is a good benefit for them until the insurance companies or government help level the playing field for small companies by offering the same rates the large companies receive. We are committed to making our company better, especially for our employees.
As far as the comment about the printer is concerned. We laid off our staff in 2020 at the height of Covid. It is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do. We didn’t like having to pick who we could keep and who we had to let go. At the time those on unemployment were making more than most people anywhere in the workforce so we knew at least they would be okay financially. We bought our printer late last year in 2022. This was to create efficiency and help the company to grow which will be a benefit to all those who work here.
I’m sorry for how you felt you were treated. We hope no one ever feels that way at our company. It is important to us for people to understand that we take these allegations seriously and strive to do better not only for the company but for everyone who works here.
