Pros
Flexible with college students and their school schedules. Great people, who help each other and are very competent. They have great benefits and impressive health insurance plans. The staff to patient ratio is excellent, mostly 1 CNA to 8 residents. Feels like a family atmosphere. Follows Eden philosophy and highly respects residents and their families. A majority of the nurses treat the CNA's with respect. A majority of the nurses help out on the always busy unit when they can afford the time. Lots of opportunity for overtime.
Cons
Strict attendance policy, where sick days fall into the same bank as tardies. You are allowed 6 points. An absence caused by sickness or otherwise counts as 1 point, and a tardy counts as 1/2 point. Each event individually takes a year to expire from your total 6 points. If it is a sickness and you are out for a consistent period of time, they count it more lightly. You are not allowed to be even a minute late or it counts as a tardy. Parking can be difficult, but a majority of days you can find a spot. Struggles with periods in the year where they seem to have a harder time with staffing. I do not have any serious cons, I loved working here and only left because I was moving.
