Pros
Trying to automate everything - Very very very easy interview process - Friendly recruiter (but dont get taken in) - Individually, staff can be helpful, but the culture is controlled by management. Big contrast!
Cons
__ Zero mgt contact
__ Staff hiding behind the company name to become anonymous
__ Former native teacher Testimonials on the website - mysteriously keep updating themselves and I’ve not seen nor heard of any of them at the company in 2017, so all of these references are out of date
__ Contract - put your lawyers hat on to do this. Remember they don’t have your interests in mind
__ Your fallback position. If they don’t keep any of their promises, after two months, simply go to another company (leave Russia and re-enter) and they will have wasted 100,000 rubles on the invite letter. But you will have gained valuable experience of being in a closed country. Them losing money is the ony thing that will make them take notice
__ Main office to collect your cash - in the middle of nowhere - 1/2 hour bus journey after the end of the metro every month. Not funny at -(20) degree C.
