Not as much room for growth

I love my coworkers and some of the locations. Sometimes it still feels like we can help people and that’s a good feeling.

When I started working here the atmosphere was fun and energetic; now everyone is hanging by a thread. As others have said, the founders are a misogynistic group of bros who prize profit over people - despite constantly hammering home that we are a “patients first” company, Dentologie is constantly seeking to extort as much money from patients as possible by encouraging the doctors to over treatment plan and firing them when they don’t. And on the subject of money, the billing team (because let’s face it, we do not have a functional insurance team) is rude and useless; they automate everything and only lift their fingers to snap at front desk for asking them for help. These things were tolerable before, when the company used to at least pretend to care, but they’ve pretty transparently given up on their staff now. Raises, if they can be expected at all, are 20 and 30 cents while the company throws money at “”standardizing the bathrooms,”” men are promoted without any kind of screening process while women are expected to apply and interview, and fees skyrocket, making our mission of “patients first” sound hollower than ever.
