Pros

The devs that work on the product are fantastic, so are team leads in general and architects.

Cons

The HR, recruitment team and CEO Quraish Behari are evil. They recruited people as fully remote then when the tech layoffs started, after 3 years of everyone working fully remote with no issues they announced with 1 month notice that you had to be in the office 2 going up to 3 days a week or you would be fired. They did this to get rid of people without paying redundency or announcing layoffs. They recruited people that lived 3 hours + each way away from the office and made no exceptions for them. These roles were advertised in writing as being fully remote but they didn't put it in the contracts, they denied the roles were ever fully remote despite written proof and offered no exceptions or anything to retain staff that couldn't commute for roles they never should have even had to. Utterly untrustworthy company, do not trust them as far as you can throw them and if you're in such desire circumstances as to be accepting a role with them, read your contract multiple times over and trust nothing written explicitly in it. The upper management force the implementation of every trendy idea they see without any thought of the consequences and if it makes sense for our work flow and business needs, taking no feedback from devs. CEO Quraish Behari is basically budget Elon Musk, far poorer and less successful but just as stupid and dangerous and running the company into the ground just as fast as twitter. The company ownership structure has left Derivco Sports in limbo essentially taking orders from Betway on side and Derivco Durben on the other, your hands and the product suffers for it. Features trump dealing with tech debt every time. Turn over is extremely high especially on client because they're forcing developers to work on a terrible company framework in C# that won't help developers build up their marketable skills and will actively hurt their prospects. We are weighted down by tech debt and sorting things out so we can move faster is desired by all the devs but we are utterly ignored.

Pros

The system is pretty massive and supports products in many markets, so there are plenty of opportunities for growth in almost any area. Also many brilliant people working here.

Cons

The company is global so working across time zones can be difficult.
