Pros

Best work-life balance in a company I had/have ever seen! Great location (first class choice of St. Paul restaurants and culture). Expert staff, esp. Senior employees who have been designing/developing for huge clients for years. Growing mentality that doesn't nitpick but trusts their staff. Growing company feel is energizing. Small-company relationships if you work a bit at them. Good salaries. Fun clientele with interesting and creative opportunities to grow your skillset, and get paid for it, which is of course the best!

Cons

Some small-company issues (long history of employees knowing each other--which is very good--but does put a burden on the 'new guys' to make friendships on staff). (Expect these issues at any company that has veritable history!)

I only have good things to say about Design Center.

Pros

I can't think of a single good reason to work here other than it will be a stepping stone to a better job.

Cons

Almost too long to list. Think of all the turmoil of a small startup agency, with zero benefits. No 401k, no company match, mandatory lunch break, never a flexible schedule. Deadlines every single day that would come up without you knowing about them. Imagine being pulled off a project and then getting shoved onto another one that was due in 2-3 days. It was a lesson in poor management and leadership for sure. All of this wrapped into the competitive nature of an agency and you get nothing. I didn't look back on my time, got a 18K raise doing IOS development after I left. Jeesh.
