Pros

DesignPoint is a nice small company with a relatively stable income. Relaxed place to grow as a young engineer to an intermediate level. Daily exposure to a broad spectrum of local industries and businesses. A good cast of employees top to bottom. Progressive use of efficient business technology and employee freedom. Broad development options available to engineers (in the SolidWorks product family). Easy to make a positive impact and develop new ideas. Very competitive salaries and raises. A great place to network

Cons

"Small company" means little room for advancement. Much more stressful environment (high risk/high $ reward) in sales side of the business vs engineering/technical which is a normal one. Certain positions can involve heavy local travel, but most don't. Company financial goals/targets are always a pipe dream and start to negatively wear you down as an employee. They never meet their goals, yet continue to grow at a high pace. Little "hands on" engineering experience to be gained outside of 3D printing.

Pros

DesignPoint is a collaborative and inclusive company that values their employees. This is the first job where I feel like I can truly lean into my strengths and be myself. The team is very open to new ideas and fresh perspectives - everyone is emboldened to have a voice and provide input. The senior leadership are good people who know it is important to infuse fun into the workplace. But they also challenge us to live the More is Possible mentality that the company is known for. They also offer a lot of flexibility in terms of working from home, etc.

Cons

Just like any other entrepreneurial business, they tend to seize opportunity when it arises. Usually this is a good thing, but sometimes it gets a little hectic.
