Pros
-Amazing collaborative culture when I first started. We had ownership over our work and management seemed to listen to what we were saying. We had plenty of holidays and it was just an overall fun place to work. My co-workers were the best I ever worked with. Open, honest, personable. I can't say anything negative about them. -Pay and benefits were good when I was there
Cons
-Things started to go downhill towards the end of 2021. Some key leaders in R&D left, leaving a power vacuum. Following this, things changed. Senior management increasingly started to play favorites, giving better opportunities and promotions to whom they preferred. -Politics and examining "how late people stayed in office" were pervasive. Things escalated even further as time went, culminating in multiple rounds of layoffs in 2022 and 2023 where the "favorites" continued to consolidate power in an increasingly smaller enterprise (bigger fish, smaller pond). Goal-setting got exclusively top-down without rationale with no input from anyone except 2-3 people. I have no idea how they will continue as a business. -CEO came from Silicon Valley and basically tried to make us a tech company in biotech, which was a disaster. Science moves differently! Company had no direction at one point -No opportunity for advancement if senior management does not favor you
