Pros
- Nothing specific about Devoteam, any positives should be associated to the previous company I was a part of before Devoteam acquired it
Cons
- They acquired a company, added it to their group then started scaling back perks and kept saying "something else will replace it" until people eventually gave up or forgot about the old perks. - Weak leadership - Lack of transparency about the company's goals and finances - Pays poor salary relative to skillset, impact and the market rate - They don't care about retention, they hope that their more valuable people don't realise their true worth and leave for better compensation. Meanwhile, they don't do anything to keep the underpaid people happy and just let them leave, leaving large knowledge gaps within the organisation that take years to develop - Projects are not exciting, usually only offer exposure to the 'safe' technologies (C# and NodeJS), meaning you're at risk of stagnating your career (they struggle to get projects so you as a developer don't have much choice in what you get to work with) - Lack of (vague) a company growth plan, which seems to keep changing - Lack of clarity with regard to career growth (getting moved up / promoted is based on someone's feeling rather than meeting metrics) - Regular reshuffling of key leadership - They install monitoring software on the phone and laptop they provide you with when you begin your employment
