Pros
- Mostly young 20/30 years olds so there is a lot of fun atmosphere at times both during and after work. - Can wear pretty much what you want. - Wants to grow to be a big company so a lot of goals to try to achieve that. - Compensation is competitive for other Chicago sales/technical jobs
Cons
Upper management made some bad errors in products they built that required a ton of time and resources that just didn't sell. Along with that, there was a big focus on a couple industries that they thought they could penetrate but they were never able to get significant market share from. That caused some pressure from high up (board of directors) to try to get more cash flow positive and because of that, they downsized the employee head count with a round of layoffs. Basically, a lot of bad vibes and uneasiness around the office were created both before and after the layoffs.
