Pros
The pros are limited to the marketing/associate position enabled me to have minimum sales experience requirements to apply for other sales jobs, and that the owners of the business seem to be a nice couple who give good recommendations for future jobs.
Cons
To get a full understanding of the cons involving this company, just google Credico scam.
Credico is the umbrella organization that Diamond Consulting falls under, so the above article provides a pretty accurate description of what working at Diamond is like.
I remember going into work every morning and being overwhelmed with anxiety and dread at the fact that I would have to step into the office in two minutes. I was paid for every sales I closed, meaning that it was possible for me to make under minimum wage for a week's worth of work, which I think is just not right. The turnover rate at the company is extremely high, but this does not affect the company in terms of costs of training or revenues lost, because they do not pay employees minimum wage. The other thing is that everyone you work with has this creepily fake enthusiasm for work and the office meeting rituals, and it feels highly cult-like.
Although upper-management was cool, they know that they are manipulating students who need internship experience and individuals with little-to-no resume experience like me.
I recommend taking this job only if you need to build your resume up and to get out after two-three months, something I wish I had done but unfortunately I stayed much longer.
