Pros

The local management and employees are great. They treat the employees fairly, and truly are relaxed when it comes to time off for family. If it wasn't for the local management doing their best, I don't think there would be any future for these plants and mines. But most management seems to agree with the workforce employees about corporate leadership being greedy.

Cons

Extreme micromanagement by our corporate office who overwork everyone without good benefits or good compensation. In the time I've been here, they have gone from making each location a fun and happy work place to a miserable and degrading atmosphere. The corporate leaders take no pride in creating a workplace that makes their employees feel valued or appreciated. Most locations struggle with getting good help and most local management knows they cannot drug test their workforce or they would lose almost half of their employees. Most employees in the California Plant qualify for government assistance programs due to poor pay. An Example of the Greed: Our company claimed to be paying 22k for our health insurance premiums on our PPO plan. To offset this, they "gave" us the option for a High Deductible Health plan at the same premium rate, and jacked the price up on our old PPO plan to make its almost to expensive for anyone to afford. The new High Deductible plan costs the company only 11k per healthcare premium. So with at least half of the workforce switching 200+ people times 11k (half of the old premium they claimed to pay), the company saved 2.2 million dollars and continues to raise the premium healthcare prices while saving more and more money as employees are forced to switch to the High Deductible plan because the pay here is to low to be able to afford the inflated premium. (which they more than doubled)

Pros

I’ve had a really positive experience working here. The pay and especially benefits are competitive, and the company genuinely takes care of its employees. The culture is good — coworkers are friendly and supportive. Leadership is approachable and respectful, and there’s a strong sense of teamwork throughout the organization. The work itself can be challenging at times, but in a rewarding way that helps you grow professionally and build new skills. Overall, it’s a great place for someone looking for meaningful work, good people, and solid benefits.

Cons

The workload can be heavy at times, and there are periods where things move very quickly. However, the work is meaningful and the team is supportive, which helps balance out the busy moments.

Pros

Highly capable team of individual contributors who keep operations running. Challenging projects for those who enjoy high pressure environments.

Cons

A culture exists where corporate executive leadership claim victories on successful projects but shift blame to their staff when any issues arise. Cross-departmental and inter-facility communication is virtually non-existent. Teams operate in isolated silos, leading to massive redundancies, conflicting priorities, and a "knowledge hoarding" environment that prevents efficient scaling. Financial leadership prioritizes short-term optics over long-term stability. Spend is often withheld until something reaches a breaking point, forcing teams into a permanent state of reactive firefighting. Corporate culture at the upper management level relies heavily on gossip and lies rather than transparent, direct leadership. This creates a high-anxiety environment where ICs and middle management staff are talked about reactively rather than consulted proactively. High performance is rewarded with an unsustainable workload. Tasks are piled onto the most reliable staff without additional resources or executive-level appreciation, leading to rapid burnout.
