Pros

DBG excels at identifying and fostering talented people to deliver high quality engagements. I love working with my team because everyone is passionate and eager to learn and contribute. Our technical teams are independent across specializations and we all have a fair amount of freedom to determine how we approach our service offerings. We have quite a bit of freedom for spending our training budgets as well. I frequently see reports from competitors when their former clients come to us, and they are very often well below our standards. The foundation of technical expertise at the company is exceptional.

Cons

For a relatively small organization, we tend to move slowly in evolving our processes and infrastructure. We also have put very little effort into marketing or building the company brand compared to competitors, but this is apparently going to change in the near future. I mentioned freedom under "Pros" but there is also a challenge with our level of self-determination. From my perspective, our technical management and leadership are often responsible for effort and decisions that ought to be handled by sales/business leadership. Luckily, we have great people on the technical side who have a keen sense for some of these things.

The people at DBG are passionate, brilliant, and eager to learn and we are so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with each and every one. We agree that with freedom comes some challenges, this is something that we are constantly working to improve. We are continuing to define roles and decision-making processes more clearly as we continue to grow as an organization, while still maintaining the autonomy that our employees enjoy. Regarding marketing DBG, all I can say is “stay tuned!” We can’t wait to show you what we have in store.
