Pros

Great team of staff in London

Cons

Long hours, underpaid staff, no benefits, ran by Spanish company who have no idea how to run the business, no HR in place, staff not looked after at all, expected to take on jobs you have had no training in to cut employment costs

Pros

Staff in London office are a very knowledgeable close knit team who work together well

Cons

All development and support run out of Madrid who place work and requests coming in from UK & US to the bottom of the pile. It takes days/weeks to get answers to simple questions leaving staff in the local offices to have to stand in front of clients repeatedly saying ‘we are still waiting for updates’. This also happens as part of the sales process resulting in lost opportunities. Loss of staff in UK over last 12 months has left no one with enough experience to support products the team in Madrid have no interest in picking up the support of development on legacy products. Levels of English in Madrid are ok but when something isn’t clear it more often than not results in an argument with UK staff being accused of failing rather than being asked to explain in more detail. Staff turn over is very high in the Madrid dev/support teams due to aggressive management people choosing to leave rather than face abuse.

Pros

A small team meant allot of autonomy within a recognised financial technology brand in the City. Nice office local on Lower Thames st, making it easy to hob nob all over the City

Cons

Small team = double the work. The majority of development work is out of Madrid meaning jobs and deadlines often pushed to manana
