Pros
There is a lot of potential and many young minds ready to network and become the next generation of professionals.
Cons
The organization fails to recognize or invest in the effort put into developing coding and/or design skills. This issue starts from the top level, resulting in an end product that falls short. Not all, but most individuals in positions of leverage are not genuinely passionate about helping interns build the skills necessary for the modern tech-centric fast-moving environment. This is why projects, interns, and basic interests fall short. Often, those who do not agree or have a differing opinion are either forced out or opt to leave in search of better opportunities and livable wages. Stubbornness at the C-suite and director level is evident, as it seems they are content with having a broken website, despite the organization priding itself on its technical know-how. This leads to a constant reliance on external sources for basic IT support.
