Pros
Some people genuinely want to see you succeed and will give you advice
Cons
Sharks in the water, false promises, leadership actively lies to employees, huge top down pressure to perform, no training with claims otherwise, other sales counselors are predatory and there is little to no oversight to oversee this or advocating you can do for yourself, retaliatory leadership when you request time off you are correctly allowed to do with proper doctors notes etc., will not let you work if you turn in a two weeks notice will simply walk you out with promises otherwise, you can do everything right and you will still fail to succeed here. Pressure to work and clean up messes left behind by disorganization and incompetence and lack of leadership. People with fancy cars and expensive suits will work less than you and tell you to do more. Demoralizing. Will mock you for asking for a refund for services that they said they would cover to help you get your insurance license - was never reimbursed - and will do it in front of the entire team.
I understand this is sales, but you are incentivized to take advantage of grieving people and take as much of their money as possible. Everyone in leadership drinks the koolaid and says we serve our families, their needs come first, but it's a big fat lie. There are no documented SOPs, there are no processes that make sense, and the internal database HMIS used to store all of the contract data is outdated and slow - it is impossible that this company has the family's best interests in mind.
The way this company is built is not sustainable.
