Pros

Worst nothing pros here all cons

Cons

This company displays a blatant disregard for its employees' well-being. Despite my repeated requests for work-from-home (WFH) options, they haven't provided any support. Additionally, there's no provision for transportation, leaving me to commute 38km to the office without any assistance. Even worse, I have to travel an additional 20km to reach the nearest cab pickup point. The salary offered is insufficient to cover these expenses, making it challenging to support my family and meet other financial obligations. It's particularly frustrating to see other teams, whose leaders are based in different countries, allowed to work remotely while I'm confined to the office. Despite my continuous appeals for WFH privileges over several months, they cite company policy as the reason for denial. However, the inconsistency in policy application is evident, as other team leaders permit their employees to work from home. The two-and-a-half-hour commute to and from the office, coupled with the demanding work culture, adds immense pressure and stress. Moreover, inadequate training and excessive workload contribute to further dissatisfaction. During the probation period, instead of receiving thorough training, we were left to fend for ourselves. This contrasts sharply with my previous company, where comprehensive training was provided. The lack of work-from-home flexibility is particularly disheartening, leaving little room for personal life. Many employees are able to work from home because their team leaders or managers are not based in the office, yet I'm not afforded the same opportunity despite being the only one here from my team. This inconsistency in policy enforcement adds to my frustration and feeling of being unfairly treated. Often, I don't return home until 9 pm, despite leaving the office at 5 or 5:30. This disparity in treatment between employees based on their location is deeply demoralizing and affecting my mental health.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on your experience at Diligent. We recognize your frustration with the commute and value your desire for more work-from-home flexibility. While in-person interaction offers benefits for collaboration and innovation, we're committed to a healthy work-life balance. We're currently reviewing our WFH policy to ensure we continue taking a balanced approach that considers factors like role requirements and team dynamics. In the meantime, discuss your situation with your manager, empowered to assess individual needs for WFH arrangements. We were disappointed to read that your training fell short of expectations. We continuously improve our programs to ensure all employees have the support they need to grow their careers at Diligent and strongly encourage you to explore the extensive resources and development opportunities offered on our Compass (people development) site. Don't hesitate to speak with your manager or HR about any further training needs. We take workload concerns seriously. If you are feeling overwhelmed, please discuss this with your manager so that together you can find ways to adjust your workload or delegate tasks. While a long commute can't be eliminated, we understand it can be stressful. To ease that burden, all employees are eligible for free transportation to and from our Bengaluru office. We're committed to a fair and positive work environment. We encourage you to reach out to your manager, HR representative, or an ELT member to discuss your concerns in detail and explore potential solutions. Thank you for your feedback. - Avigail Dadone, Chief People Officer

Pros

Decent pay, unlimited PTO and good benefits

Cons

Leadership will tell you want you want to hear to keep you focused on being a BDR instead of helping you get promoted. Majority of AE type roles are not posted internally and do a ton of external hiring instead of promotions.
