Pros

If you enjoy a lean, fast-paced environment, solving interesting problems, being able to innovate etc, Ding is a good choice. It's slightly chaotic at times and you need to be ok with a bit of ambiguity and changing direction, but personally I prefer that to a big, heavily structured company where you don't have much scope. I can see the impact of my work at Ding and there are good learning opportunities from being around a lot of very smart people and being able to try stuff. The culture is collaborative and informal but the work is taken seriously and I like that most people seem to genuinely care about customers and the social impact. A lot of places say they are purpose driven, but I do feel that to be true at Ding for the most part.

Cons

It can be pressured and tiring, expectations are high but without a lot of resource so you often find yourself taking on a lot. Flexible working is slowly being reduced with updates to the RTO policy. This is communicated as being about collaboration but not enough thought is given to the impact for productivity. There aren't enough breakout spaces in the office and it's far too noisy when everyone is in, so you end up having to work evenings to get stuff done. Not everyone seems to do that so there's definitely an imbalance that doesn't feel fair. They should either provide more flex or invest in the space.
