Pros
Compensation A few people were straight up awesome Fully remote
Cons
- Countless lies from interview process from head hunting agency. Promised one role, got another less desirable title with the same responsibilities. - Complete lack of culture - Technology is really behind the times and incredibly surgical and beyond quirky to work with. Think 2005 with no undo button for horrific mistakes you/client make. - No vision by leaders shared - No training. Just 24 hours of videos technical training videos that were incredibly difficult to follow. - Mentor/manager cared little for my success. Every question treated as a dumb question. Then told me don't worry about the process of my role and just do as I am told. - COVID? What COVID? My first week, expectations were set with a client that I was traveling without my approval. Was pressured into going. - Hours with nothing to do - Asked several people if I could help and was turned away. - Acumen, DCI, RISE - I don't know what company I truly worked for. Owner owns them all and you can be plugged into any of them at any given time. - Leadership makes you join excessive meetings of technical talk. - No work/life balance - Manager and Mentor both told me they haven't vacationed in years. Mentor said they work 16 hour days. Yikes! - IT support was completely unprofessional whenever I had an issue with my computer - No process guides other than hundreds of documents thrown into a google drive to sort through. I took a chance and learned a valuable lesson on what to look for in companies going forward. If you see them message you on linkedin, run!
