Pros
I had an interesting experience working at DRG. It’s a good job for someone coming out of school since it’s a way to develop skills, travel and most importantly get paid to travel. Compensation is based on sales, I was paid base+bonus+commission. The base came out to about 30K net and then the commissions varied depending on how much my project made. In my first year I made an additional 30K in commissions and in my 2nd year I made an additional 60K in commissions. I stayed for about two years so excluding my time training I made about 60k in my first full commission year and 90k the next. The base salary is just above average compared to other industries. Because most living expenses like housing, transportation, health insurance, cell phone bills are covered by the company pretty much all my income was disposable income. Commissions were paid out 3 times a year, which was a nice perk considering investment banks pay out bonuses just once a year. After I left the company, I was still paid the commissions owed to me at the same 3x a year intervals. The living arrangements were good, we were always placed in safe neighborhoods, usually in the center of the city, close to public transport. In Europe the apartments were more basic (furnished apartment in a safe and central area with standard amenities) and in Asia they were fancier with extra amenities like breakfast, gym and pool.
Cons
Being away from home, lots of traveling within each country
