Pros

- You'll struggle to find somewhere that is higher earning with respect to TRONC - base pay is £12.21 in London but with tips as a waiter this can go up to £18-19 an hour on avg. - Awesome people to meet, work with, and become friends with. Generally the hire pressure environment results in a very compotent FOH and BOH team. - Great food - Generally organised and standardised steps of service, allergen procedure etc. - Biannual parties which are super fun and very free!

Cons

- Incredibly stressful - evening shifts at Dishoom KX rarely did not have a queue - Balancing high turnover (management says this is not a priority but often becomes quite real during busy services) while providing good service - Management at each location is under intense pressure from HR, often resulting in these crazy high expectations and pressure being pushed onto the shoulders of floor staff - Breaks are not paid. Often forced to take breaks at unreasonable times by management. For example, you could be forced to take your break at 9am during a shift from 8am - 4.30pm. - Food is given to staff on a more discretionary basis from location to location, depends on management - can be good but often feels like a cheap policy
