Pros
- remote job (will not be soon, as new hire roles only for bangaluru location) - exciting challenges to work on IPL, ICC tournaments the scale is just beyond the roof - strong engineering talent (although its all new, older backbone is either lay off or voluntarily moving out. Huge area of concern)
Cons
- silent layoffs after merger - leadership is moving out, unstable to maintain the streak after merger - promotion % is very low, even if you perform the best of the work. Low changes of getting to the next level. I know people you have 3+yrs in the org at the same role. Org is juggling around after merger - managers from erstwhile Jiocinema are micromanaging teams and members. Feels down to talk to them, i believe requires mindset shift required to handle high performing team. This is my major concerns. - High caliber engineers and managers are pushed into area which is non performing business and eventually layoff.
