Pros

It's weird writing about this, having known I checked the glass door reviews three years ago and asked myself "Am i about to join a cult? These are suspiciously overwhelmingly positive reviews." Turns out they were right, in the best way possible. My experience working at Distru has been overwhelmingly positively as well. Top tier company culture comprised of people from all walks of life who give 100% every day to evolve and sell our software. I've had the opportunity to learn many new things, evolve my career, travel, and contribute to the ever evolving cannabis industry.

Cons

Start-ups encounter market turbulence. You can do your best to achieve an outcome, and you may not get there due to factors outside of your control. It is what it is, but it's important to recognize the volatility of working for a start-up that's both software and cannabis related.

Pros

Distru offers competitive pay, great hours, staff support, benefits, and everything else that you hope to see in a job posting - you know this if you're reading this review, you've probably spent a non-zero amount of time going through your options. I'd like to instead focus on some of the other aspects of this job. Authentic Leadership and Work-Life Balance - Leadership demonstrates transparency and prioritizes employee wellbeing, including taking time off to prevent burnout. The company offers: - Flexible PTO policy - 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage - 401(k) retirement plan - Competitive compensation Remote Work Flexibility - Distru is a fully remote startup that is "timezone agnostic," allowing employees to work from anywhere. Culture - We play hard and we work even harder. There's no ego to be found anywhere in the "hallways" of Distru - we're focused on getting to the end goal, together. EVERYONE in the org is willing to teach about any aspects of their workflow. I had folks sharing internal tools on day 1 that they created for themselves and this is only the tip of the iceberg, This team is incredible, the leadership is transparent and the care and concern that the leadership team(s) + founders have built into this place is palpable. Between the great people, the great benefits, the great product that we work with, and the great customer base that we have, I feel that I can confidently say that this is a where you want to work - for and alongside people that GAS and believe in the product's ability to give folks time back into their day.

Cons

I've yet to find any in my time with Distru. The interview process is long, however, when you get into this organization you realize why: Distru takes their time to find the RIGHT candidate to invest in rather than just any. As a staff member, I like to see the care put into the candidate search.

Pros

The people I work with at Distru are truly amazing. The culture here - built on trust, teamwork, and humility - is something I wouldn’t trade for anything. I’ve worked with many companies before, but I’ve never enjoyed working anywhere as much as I do here

Cons

Remote work comes with a few challenges. Like missing those spontaneous in-person moments, fewer organic collaborations, or having to work around gaps in time zones. It can also be harder to connect and bond deeply with new teammates We had a recent company offsite that meant so much to me (and I believe to those who were there as well). Being able to spend real time together, share conversations, and connect face to face really proved to me even more how incredible this team truly is. The offsite made those in-person moments possible, and I know I’ll miss that part the most because it helped us grow closer as a team in such a genuine way
