Pros
Working at DAN gives every employee the ability to go anywhere in the dive industry and gain at least a small amount of respect without doing anything. The reputation of the company is the biggest asset to any inspiring leader in the dive industry.
Cons
Having left this organization for a new career, it is now painfully apparent that DAN is formed on a foundation of a toxic, self-absorbed working environment. Career achievements of employees are not celebrated, new ideas are not welcomed, and appreciation from management is non-existent. The entire dive industry looks at DAN as a pinnacle organization and one of the greats, but if they knew the truth about how their staff are treated and how donations are spent, DAN would be not be seen as a prestigious nor important asset to the community.
