Pros

Meaningful work where you actively play a role in helping providers collaborate with each other to get their patients better care. As a CSM, you get to support some of the largest pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, and medical societies in the world, and work on delivering real value to customers. You're also actively learning and developing professionally, both internally and through collaborative work with customers. More access to senior leadership with a wide range of professional backgrounds than you would at a larger company, as well as exposure to other departments. This also makes it much easier for your impact to be visible and recognized by leadership. Remote work and flexible schedules (the team spans multiple time zones). PTO is easy to use, and there is a monthly wellness stipend that supports staying healthy.

Cons

Working at a startup means there's a lot of learning involved. Although process documentation exists, it's still evolving frequently, and you play an active role in developing best practices (this can be a pro for some and a con for others). As a lean startup, there are fewer layers between you and management, which is a pro, but that also means there's less of a defined career ladder and fewer expected promotion paths compared to a larger company.

Pros

DocMatter offers meaningful, mission driven work that supports clinician collaboration and improves patient outcomes. The team is smart, collaborative, and genuinely cares, with strong opportunities for ownership and cross functional exposure. It’s a great fit for people who are humble, curious, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. For those who enjoy building and problem solving, it can be very rewarding.

Cons

This is not a large, structured corporate environment. There are fewer formal programs, perks, and established processes. The team is lean, priorities can shift, and you often need to figure things out as you go. This suits people who value autonomy and flexibility, but may be challenging for those who prefer clear structure and predictability.

Pros

The interview process was very smooth with the interviewers taking time to answer all my questions and give me a clear picture of what the role would be. Everyone working here is very friendly and the training process was smooth and supportive. Excited to be working for a company where the mission is clear, people are passionate about what we do, and you can make a clear impact.

Cons

There are no cons to share.
