      Good company, but worse vehicles I. The industry - Technical Gas Engineer Dodd Group Employee Review

      Pay ok, Working Hours ok, Managers Ok

      Cons

      Supervisors are incompetent and lazy, Vehicles are bottom of the range, unreliable and lack aircon despite being 3 years old,, speed limiters and slowed down making them unsafe, tracked making you feel watched, 7 breakdowns in 10 months, when companies manipulate the software to slowdown and restrict vehicles the emissions systems don’t work correctly hence vehicle more time in garage than on road. All new vehicles come standard with air con and some driver comforts, Dodd group order vehicles with these removed as profit over staff comfort and safety is their priority.

      Pros

      I’ve been in the job for about 8 months and it’s a busy environment with lots to learn. The team is down to earth and friendly and while the job always keeps you on your toes people go out of their way to support you. There are lots of opportunities to try new things and meet new people from different walks of life. One of the most encouraging things is seeing that there are lots of extra training opportunities like NVQ’s, and they’re not just available to younger staff.

      Cons

      It was an intense start in the the beginning and took some time to find my feet. I’m feeling a lot more confident but there is still more to learn as I’m only early into the job
